Our second graders became scientists this fall, observing how seeds sprout and measuring their progress over time. We found that some seeds sprout quicker than others, seeds start to smell during the sprouting process, and roots look different on each plant. We even got to watch as the seed coats of fava beans split apart! These students were terrific scientists!
